This fall, Yorkdale Ford proudly joined dealerships around the world in Ford’s Global Food Drive — an international effort focused on tackling food insecurity and supporting local families in need.
Between September 15 and 25, our showroom turned into a hub of generosity as customers, employees, and community members came together to donate non-perishable food items in support of the North York Harvest Food Bank.
To make every contribution count even more, Yorkdale Ford matched every pound donated, doubling the impact of our community’s kindness. Supporters who gave 10 pounds or more received a Yorkdale Ford keychain, and those who contributed 25 pounds or more took home a Yorkdale Ford mug — small tokens of appreciation for their big hearts.
A Global Record, Fueled by Local Action
What began as Ford’s ambitious goal to collect 1 million pounds of food has evolved into a record-breaking success. Collectively, over 3,000 Ford dealerships across 31 countries joined the campaign, helping the Global Ford Network surpass its goal with more than 2 million pounds of food donated worldwide.
Across Canada, nearly half of all Ford Dealers participated, contributing 212,797 pounds of food — ranking Canada among the top three markets globally. We’re proud that Yorkdale Ford played a role in this historic effort, helping create meaningful change one donation at a time. Yorkdale Ford alone collected an impressive 1,088 pounds, helping make a significant contribution to the global initiative.

Food insecurity continues to affect families across the Toronto area. By rallying together through this initiative, Yorkdale Ford and our community helped ensure that more households can access nutritious meals and essential items this season.
This campaign showed that small gestures — a few cans, a couple of boxes, or a simple visit to our showroom — can create a powerful ripple effect when multiplied by thousands of dealerships worldwide.
