This marks the 7th generation of the classic Mustang, still sporting the Pony badge and a V8 under the hood, despite changes in the automotive landscape regarding muscle cars. Inspired by elements from a fighter jet to the beloved 1960s Mustang, the latest generation retains all the key elements that unmistakably identify it as a Mustang.
Overhauled Interior
The New Mustang takes on a lot of the outstanding benefits of Sync 4, which takes advantage of a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch touchscreen under a single glass panel. This provides not only great connectivity but stunning graphics as well.
Same, But Different
A true hallmark of the Mustang is its taillight design. This generation further modernizes this aspect while retaining the three individual lights, this time in more of a chevron style rather than a C shape. Unmistakably Mustang.
Front Facia
The classic styling you’ve come to know and love over the last 8+ years from the Mustang has received some welcome changes. Discover new LED headlights with distinct DRLs, larger grilles for improved cooling, and more angles, because you can’t have enough of those!
Your Trim/Engine Options
EcoBoost
The standard engine is a 315-horsepower turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder EcoBoost with 350 pound-feet of torque. It’s got 5 more horsepower than the old base model and comes with a 10-speed automatic.
GT
The Mustang GT offers a 5.0-liter V-8 engine with 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque (or 486 horsepower with the performance exhaust). It can be optioned with a six-speed manual and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in roughly 4.2 seconds.
Dark Horse
The Dark Horse is a track-focused version of the GT with a 500-horsepower 5.0-litre V-8 and a six-speed manual Tremec TR-3160 transmission (can be optioned with a 10-speed auto which gains remote start). It’s quicker than the GT, going from 0 to 100 km/h in roughly 4.1 seconds, with the potential for even better performance with optional tires.

There’s a Lot That’s New
To go with the stunning new exterior updates, the interior received much of the same treatment with some outstanding options, such as this Carmine Red interior.
Remote Rev
Revel in the sound of your own car from the exterior by simply pressing the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob to rev the Mustang to approximately 5,000 rpm.
Drift Brake
When equipped with the optional Performance Package, among its many other benefits, you receive a factory Drift Brake.
